Earlier this year, Joe Biden could not stop slapping himself on the back for helping to avert a rail strike.
Well, that was only one of about a gazillion unions that has its hook into that sector.
This week, a deal that the White House helped broker was turned down.
If the union decides to strike, the rails are shut down, and with it a significant portion of our supply chain.
That Would Be a No
The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters just rejected the latest deal on the table.
The pay hike was substantial, but 56 percent of the members said there are other aspects of the deal that do not address key issues, such as quality of life.
BMWED President Tony Cardwell stated, “The majority of the BMWED membership rejected the tentative national agreement and we recognize and understand that result.
“BMWED members are concerned with the direction of their employers and the mismanagement and greed in which they have consistently implemented, and are united in their resolve to improve their working conditions across the entire Class I rail network.”
Joe Biden has been touting unions since he announced his candidacy.
Now those very unions are about to give him a massive nightmare that will completely derail the Democrat Party.
