Another mass shooting ripped apart a Chicago neighborhood Wednesday night, leaving six people injured, two of them critically. Mayor Lori Lightfoot and her lesbian partner slept soundly through the anarchy as a grand total of 19 people were wounded in 12 separate shootings across her city in the six-hour span between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Mayor Lightfoot’s neighborhood is surrounded by taxpayer-funded armed security so tight the neighbors have to show ID to her gestapo just to reach their driveway. She’s not worried about any peaceful Black Lives Matter drive-by’s.
Another peaceful mass shooting in Chicago
After the shooting stopped and the attacking assailants sped off into the night, two men were left in critical condition. First responders rushed a 29-year-old man who was shot in the neck and back to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. They shipped a 37-year-old man, also in critical condition after being struck in the head, to the same hospital.
The youngest victim, a 17-year-old male, was grazed in the head by a bullet. He also went to UCMC in fair condition. Two other men, “21 and 29, were struck in the back and leg, respectively,” officials note. A 28-year-old man also was also shot. He’s in fair condition at St. Bernard Hospital after being hit in the arm during the shooting.
Because the police have been defunded and resources are spread thin, no arrests have been made. In fact, police “have yet to release a description of a suspect or a vehicle.” They mayor may give them the money to do things like that or then again, she might not. A mass shooting is just another form of protest to her.
Totally committed to protecting anarchy
Mayor Lori Lightfoot is totally committed to protecting the First Amendment rights of anarchists. She’s infuriated at the reports coming in from Black Lives Matter activists that the Chicago Police have actually attempted to enforce the laws. Cops had the nerve to beat “peaceful demonstrators” and blind them with pepper spray. Simply for burning and looting. A mass shooting, to her, is nothing but a means of peacefully protesting the White privileges of law and order.
Mayor Lightfoot isn’t the least bit bothered that residents of the Gresham neighborhood thumbed their nose at the quarantine laws to hold a large outdoor gathering. It’s more disturbing that she’s also not bothered that someone started shooting at that illicit gathering near South Parnell and 85th Street around 11:30 p.m. from a car driving down the road. Police were busily checking id’s at the gestapo style roadblock the mayor had set up at taxpayer expense to shield her Logan Square neighborhood from chaos like a fortress.
While 19 people were injured in separate shooting incidents through a six-hour span Wednesday night, the Chicago Police Department, Yahoo News reports, “effectively banned protesters from demonstrating on Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s block in the Logan Square neighborhood.” Peaceful or not, you’re not getting through. Police were ordered to “arrest anyone who refuses to leave.” She even has armored troop support.
“Chicago cops have repeatedly blocked protesters’ access to the block with groups of officers and barricades. Police have often kept protesters contained at the nearby corner of Kimball and Wrightwood avenues, though one standoff between activists and officers last month saw police go as far as bringing in an armored vehicle in case things got out of hand.” There won’t be a mass shooting on that corner but the neighbors are the ones who are furious. “Some neighbors in the Logan Square area have complained about the city’s approach to protests around Lightfoot’s house, which at times has included checking residents’ IDs before letting them close.”
