The escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas has increased anti-Semitic activities across the entire world. And sadly, another person has lost their life as a result of this hatred.
On Monday, November 6, a terror attack rocked the Middle East when Sgt. Rose Ida Lubin, an American-Israeli police officer who had immigrated to Israel last August and joined their police force in March 2022, was fatally stabbed by a 16 year old suspect near Jerusalem.
Another Israeli police officer was also wounded during the attack, but they were able to respond and shoot the juvenile suspect dead. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp confirmed her death on social media.

Rose Ida Lubin was originally from Atlanta and had been living in Kibbutz Sa’ad near the Gaza border prior to the attack that took her life. She was 20 years old at the time of her death and had only been serving as a police officer for a little over four months before tragedy struck.
It is heartbreaking to think that such a young woman with so much courage and commitment to fighting evil has been taken away from us so soon due to this senseless act of violence.
This tragedy has left not only those closest to Sgt. Lubin heartbroken but people all over the world have responded with immense sorrow at hearing about her passing as well as outrage caused by such an act of terrorism against innocent people trying to protect their homeland.
It’s just another reminder of how fragile life can be: that any one of us could be taken away at any moment without warning or reason because some misguided individual has decided to use violence as an outlet for their anger or hatred towards others who are different then them.
This terrorist attack should serve as a wake up call for all nations around the world; we must stand together against acts of terror if we want our future generations to live safely without fear or worry about what may come next in terms of global security threats.
