The Biden campaign put on a great circus, throwing all pretense out the window. Some idiot made the decision to hold a press conference in front of the court house Trump was in and invite the dark heart of Robert De Niro to speak. Talking heads might tell you through the screen that Biden remains neutral but this insanity was not neutral. A car alarm going off only added to the ridiculousness of it all.
Just another campaign blunder
In a list of many. People on the social media platform Twitter or X made note of the circus.
Robert De Niro and the two Capitol police officers Michael Fanone and Harry Dunn were special guests. De Niro can’t open his mouth about Trump without it being vulgar and the two police officers are part of the “insurrection” narrative regarding the January 6 incident at the Capitol.
Conservative commentator Greg Price spoke on X, “Everything about what the Biden campaign did this morning was absolutely hilarious. They spent the whole thing getting drowned out by Trump supporters yelling ‘FJB’ and they had to answer questions such as ‘is Trump a threat to all these wars Biden has gotten us in.’”
There is no decorum
Washington Times columnist Tim Murtaugh laughed at the mess, “Nothing says ‘this isn’t political’ like the Biden campaign sending one of the most political movie stars in Hollywood to hold an embarrassing press conference outside the Trump trial. The beeping horn car alarm is just the cherry on top.”
Matt Pieper from CBS News noted insults being thrown back and forth between the actor and Trump supporters. The Biden campaign communication director, Michael Tyler, blamed it on the media, “We’re not here today because of what’s going on over there. We’re here today because you all [the media] are here.”
So, if you’re not there because of Trump, why ARE you there? You can deny to your heart’s content on the screen that these trials aren’t political persecution. There have been many times the Emperor has had no clothes on. This is another.
The campaign put this on
De Niro did himself no favors, coming off as unhinged and thin skinned when Trump supporters responded to him. Based on the whole thing it seemed Trump had more supporters, even in a very blue city.
The nakedly political motivations behind the Democratic activities cannot be denied. Those who watch with their eyes open can see it. Those who support the never ending lawsuits against Trump see it as justice.
Democrats are now slowly admitting to what everybody has known all along. The Biden-Harris campaign put out a notice that there would be a news conference at 10:15 am outside the court room. It coincided with the closing arguments.
