I would bet just about anything that Hunter Biden never thought he would see the insider of a courtroom on the tax and gun charges he is facing.
His attorneys had a great deal after all, and he was home free until Judge Noreika actually read the deal and noticed that Hunter was being given immunity for crimes not even mentioned yet.
Noreika just dealt Hunter Biden another blow, and it surely has the White House worried.
Denied
With the trial date of June 3 fast approaching, Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, was literally pleading with Noreika to extend the date.
Lowell told the judge that there was no possible way that his team could do the work necessary to properly defend Biden in two weeks.
Lowell stated, “It cannot be done in two weeks, it just cannot. “I am pleading with your honor” to allow for more time.
Noreika had a very unsympathetic ear and told Lowell that the motion to change the trial date was denied.
Lowell has other irons in the fire on this front, but I don’t expect Noreika to cut him any slack, and Lowell and Hunter burned a lot of bridges on the way to this trial.
It even goes so far as to say that prosecutors who were trying to initially help Biden were livid with the attacks fired off by his attorneys.
It is unlikely that Biden will get any jail time here, and if he does, it will be minimal just to make a point.
Regardless, it sure is nice to see that arrogance knocked off Hunter’s face.
Reports are now surfacing that Joe Biden is very worried that Hunter could end up in jail, which would be an absolute disaster for the Biden campaign.
Hunter will be found guilty here, so it will just be a matter of how much Noreika wants to stick it to him to prove a point that nobody is above the law (except Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Kamala Harris).
