The GOP House needs to get its act together because big legislation is about to head their way.
Reports surfaced this week that Biden is about to ask Congress for $100 billion for aid for Ukraine and Israel.
The GOP is going to have to challenge this or Democrats are going to sneak all kinds of goodies in there.
Load Them Up
I have already seen reports that Democrats plan on jamming this full of goodies.
They want to hide extra aid for Ukraine as well as aid for Taiwan in the bill.
To lure in Republicans, they are going to put border funding in there, but it will not be to actually secure the border.
My understanding is that the money will be used for tech and more agents to help process the migrants coming across the border.
Now, I am sure that will evolve as we get closer, so we have to wait to see the final version that is put together and passed in the Senate by Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
Regardless of the numbers, this should all be broken out for each aid package.
I have no problem with aid for Israel, but we have already seen how aid for Ukraine has been abused.
I would also want to see exactly what they are doing with any border money.
Democrats keep pulling the wool over our eyes with these funding packages and emergency or not, we deserve the details.
