The Department of Justice has officially been weaponized against Donald Trump.
Reports are now breaking that there is an active investigation in the DOJ investigating Trump’s direct involvement in the events of January 6.
The department is also looking into Trump’s direct communications with John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani.
Grand Jury Convened
Whether people want to admit it or not, this is a big deal.
Former Mike Pence aide Marc Short has confirmed that he was called to testify before a grand jury.
This still depends on the DOJ getting firsthand information, something the January 6 Select Committee has been unable to do thus far.
Merrick Garland seems to be licking his chops over the opportunity to indict Trump.
When asked if he is going after Trump, he responded, “We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for the events surrounding January 6, for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another, accountable.
“That’s what we do.”
If Trump gets indicted, it is game over for his election hopes.
I don’t see how voters can risk putting someone in the general election with a grand jury indictment hanging over his head.
If this backfires, however, Democrats will have added jet fuel to the MAGA movement in this country.
