As catalytic converter thefts quickly increase around the nation, the death in Sacramento wasn’t the very first time a presumed catalytic converter scoundrel was eliminated or hurt throughout the act:
- Last month a Wichita, Kansas, homeowner shot an attempted catalytic converter burglar after the suspect approached the property owner with a cordless saw.
- In December, cops in North Carolina stated a guy trying to take a catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius was killed when the vehicle fell on top of him.
- In November, two scoundrels opened fire on a guy who found them attempting to take a catalytic converter on a Chicago street. The issue was that their target was a concealed carrier who had far better aim, killing one of the scoundrels.
- Comparable to the North Carolina event, authorities in Anaheim, California, in 2017 stated a presumed burglar was crushed to death when a vehicle with a catalytic converter he obviously was attempting to take fell on him.
