Police in Pueblo, Colorado had Jesus Dominguez in custody. They arrested him on an outstanding warrant, after they came to talk to him and his wife about where their children were. The couple told investigators, on January 31, “it was possible the children were in Phoenix.” They weren’t. Jesus was set free and instantly disappeared, because he knew where they were. Police already had a pretty good idea where one of the kids was. Which makes it really surprising that Jesus was released.

Police looking for Jesus

Police in Pueblo, Colorado, found Jesus. Then, they lost him again. Their investigation started on January 20, when they got a call “about a suspicious-looking metal container filled with hardened concrete in a storage unit in the 600 block of West Sixth Street.

It was more than just suspicious. “Investigators determined the remains of a young girl were encased in the container.

Authorities aren’t saying what led police to interview 36-year-old Corena Rose Minjarez and Jesus Dominguez, age 35, about the whereabouts of their children but it’s likely their name was on the storage unit. When they interviewed the couple on January 31, they didn’t have enough evidence to arrest Minjarez but Dominguez had a warrant, so he went with them.

They aren’t saying how he got out but no escapes were reported. He must have seen a friendly judge. They’re looking for him now but not as likely to find him.

A week later, on February 6, “investigators obtained a search warrant for a car belonging to Minjarez at a local scrap yard.” Police found “a suitcase with the remains of a young boy in the trunk.” By Thursday, February 15, “DNA test results confirmed that the remains belonged to the two children.

They went back and arrested Minjarez but Dominguez was nowhere to be found. Both are accused of “first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse in the deaths of Yesenia Dominguez and Jesus Dominguez Jr.,” the news release notes.

Not reported missing

While the children haven’t been seen since “summer 2018, when Yesenia was 3 years old and Jesus was 5 years old,” no “missing persons reports were ever filed for the children.” Police are holding Minjarez at the Pueblo Detention Center on $2 million bail.

They would still have Jesus on ice if they would have held on to him long enough for the DNA test to come back. They had more than enough probable cause to hold him on the suspected murder charge.

All Pueblo law enforcement could say is that they really need the public’s help to do their job for them.

Anyone with information about Jesus Dominguez’s whereabouts can contact Pueblo police dispatch at 719-553-2502.” If you spot the child murdering maniac, don’t try to nab him yourself. Just dial the cops and leave it up to them.

It appears that offering cash to the public paid off. In a late breaking update, according to Pueblo police on X, Saturday afternoon, “Jesus Dominguez has been arrested.

Unconfirmed additions relate he may have been picked up Friday night. This continues to be a developing story and we’ll keep you up to date on anything significant that turns up.
