They’re Covering for the Biden Family Corruption

Conservative Senator Ted Cruz had some sharply pointed questions about Biden family crime and corruption for an ambassadorial nominee. Thanks to the Democrat Chairperson sitting over the Senate Foreign Relations Committee running cover, nominee George Kent didn’t have to answer those questions.

Biden crime ‘unspeakable’

The crimes committed by Joe, James and Hunter Biden, for starters, are now officiallyunspeakable.” That’s because nobody is allowed to speak about them. Especially not ambassadorial nominee George Kent.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen ruled with an iron fist in favor of Deep State deception on Tuesday, November 29. The New Hampshire progressive tangled head-to-head with her Texas firebrand committee colleague. In the end Shaheen had to throw her political weight around to get her way. It looked like a childish tantrum.

Senator Cruz asked a legitimate question. Imperial Leader Joe Biden picked Kent for the post of ambassador to Estonia. The Foreign Relations Committee approves the appointment.

Previously, in President Donald Trump’s first impeachment persecution, Kent testified under oath that “he raised concerns about Hunter Biden’s lucrative service on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company.” He also testified that Biden’s administration slapped him down hard for it.

Back in 2016, Ukrainian gas utility Burisma Holdings was under investigation. The nation’s “top prosecutor,” Viktor Shokin was in charge of it. Shokin was also under investigation for corruption at the time.

In 2018, Joe Biden “admitted that while he was vice president, he pushed Ukrainian officials to fire Shokin by threatening to cancel $1 billion of loan guarantees.” The question Cruz began with was related to that. It was a simple yes or no but nobody in Washington can seem to understand that basic concept.

Holding a billion dollars hostage

The question Cruz posed to nominee Kent was “do you think Joe Biden holding a billion dollars hostage to force the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor that is investigating the corrupt oligarch who’s paying his son a million dollars a year? Did getting that prosecutor fired benefit that oligarch?” Did it or didn’t it?

The obvious answer is you bet it did and Cruz wanted to get that firmly into the Congressional record for upcoming corruption hearings. Shaheen was on the ball and blocked it fast. Whoa, hold on a minute there, she warned.

Well, Cruz responded, “are you going to allow him to answer the question, Madam Chairman?” Hell no! She didn’t reply. She did confirm it though. “I am not going to allow him to answer the question,” she flatly declared. Cruz was just as sharp, sparring back, “why are you covering for the vice president?

She didn’t answer so he followed up, “do you not want to answer that question?” Hell no, she didn’t want to answer it. She dodged by putting the blame on the witness, noting it was “unfortunate” that Cruz was putting the guy Joe Biden named in “uncomfortable” positions. Why would confirming his previous testimony make him uncomfortable? It was making HER uncomfortable.

It was neon sign clear to Ted Cruz and now the rest of America that Shaheen was “covering” for Joe. Cruz called her on it. “Was his testimony true or false that Biden did nothing to benefit the oligarch? Let him answer the question. Why are you afraid of him answering the question?” A flustered Shaheen retorted “I’m not. I just want to move on.” Cruz wouldn’t let it go and eventually Shaheen relented enough to allow Kent “to answer his ‘yes or no‘ question.

Final answer: “The prosecutor who was fired by the Ukrainian Parliament did nothing to investigate Zlochevsky and everything the Vice President Biden, the State Department and the U.S. Embassy did acted in good faith to reduce corruption and help the Ukrainians.” Fair enough. There, was that so bad? It says nothing and says it well. What was Shaheen so worried he would say? A simple “yes” maybe? Cruz wasn’t happy with the answer, he wanted yes or no. A solid no might lead to charges of lying to Congress later. “So firing him did not benefit the oligarch?” Cruz pressed. That’s when “Shaheen ended his time and moved on.” Cruz ended up with the last word though. “You’re protecting the president well.
