Folks, I try my hardest not to actually hate anyone. There’s just no sense in putting that much effort into someone that you dislike. I mean, if you dislike someone enough the solution should usually be just to eliminate them from your life as much as possible.
That being said, the closest I have ever come in my life to hating someone who wasn’t an obvious terrorist or criminal has been Whoopi Goldberg. I have the best good reason in the history of reasons.
In 1996, I spent one summer in my teens visiting a family member out west near an Air Force base. My uncle, who had recently retired from the military had a part-time job running the base movie theater. He offered to pay me a little bit of cash to help him sweep up things.
It was great, I would basically get paid to watch movies or just sit in the projection booth. Until the movie Eddie came to the theater. Whoopi’s character was a basketball fan who became the coach of the New York Knicks.
It was awful. I also had to watch it nine times in one week. Ever since then, I have been as close to hating another human being as I could possibly get when it came to Whoopi Goldberg.
Her movies aside, her run on The View has been one that I would describe as “intelligence-repellent”. Anyone who spends too much time watching that nonsense just ends up becoming dumber by default.
I’m sure there’s math I can no longer do because of getting caught in a room where The View was on.
Part of the problem with that show, especially Whoopi, is the idea that they will say the most outlandish and unrealistic things. If they have a problem with apples, instead of saying “Well, maybe you should try pears” they will say “KILL ALL THE APPLE TREES AND USE THE BRANCHES FOR KINDLING”.
None of the people on that show save for one or two occasional guests have ever had anything resembling a rational thought in their heads.
Recently during an episode, Whoopi remarked that Joe Biden should arrest all Republicans. Now, I may not be a lawyer or anything, but I am pretty sure that’s illegal. Besides.

What if you’re a Democrat who has seen the light and switched parties? Do you go to jail or do you get let off with a warning? Whoopi’s just talking out of her Goldberg.
The great thing about this country is that we can have people of differing ideas and not have one of those groups have to worry about getting tossed in the slammer for what they think and feel.
Besides, I thought that liberals like Whoopi were supposed to be all for inclusion and whatnot. Looks like they’re about as full of it as we thought they were.
