NYPD Blue TV Star Austin Majors Cause of Death Revealed

Fans around the world were left shocked and saddened by the sudden and tragic death of “NYPD Blue” star Austin Majors. On February 11th, 27-year-old Austin Setmajer-Raglin died from fentanyl toxicity.

Now, a coroner’s report obtained by Fox News Digital has revealed new details surrounding his death.

According to the report, staff of the transitional housing facility where Majors was living at the time discovered his body after he did not respond to a bed check around 9:33 p.m. PST on Feb. 11.

Paramedics who responded to the scene collected two rolled dollar bills, a shot glass with white powder residue, foil with white “crystal-like” powder and multiple rectangular four-segment pills as evidence.

Majors had a history of abusing alcohol, Xanax, cocaine and ketamine – all factors which may have contributed to his untimely demise.

His family shared an emotional statement with Fox News Digital upon learning of his passing: “Austin Majors (Setmajer-Raglin) was an artistic, brilliant, and kind human being,” they said in part. “From the time he was little, he never knew a stranger and his goal in life was to make people happy.”

At the time of his death, Majors appeared on seven seasons of “NYPD Blue” – bringing him several guest appearances on other shows such as “According to Jim,” “American Dad!” “Desperate Housewives,” “An Accidental Christmas” and “How I Met Your Mother.”

His co-star Dennis Franz was deeply affected by news of Majors’ passing: “Austin was always such a joy to have on set, he brought smiles and happiness to everyone,” Franz said in a statement released by Fox News Digital shortly after learning about his death.

He went on to share that when Austins worked each day during their twelve years together on “NYPD Blue” he would greet him with special song titled ‘It’s Austin Majors’ Day.’

It is clear that this talented young man will be remembered fondly for many years to come.
