Elon Musk goes viral again, this time after turning the tables on the reporter. BBC reporter James Clayton sat down with him for a spontaneously arranged interview. Both had shots at each other. One shot was regarding the massive layoffs at Twitter since Elon took over, the other for the “government funded” media label on the BBC Twitter account. Musk made Clayton surprised and uncomfortable.
Clayton started in first
He mentioned he “personally” saw hateful content on Twitter. The entrepreneur pressed him a couple times about specific examples. Clayton said something about comments being “slightly racist or slightly sexist.”
Clayton was asked again about a specific example. He couldn’t produce any. “I don’t actually use that feed any more because I don’t particularly like it.” Musk fired back, “You said you’ve seen more hateful content, but you can’t name a single example, not even one.”
Perfect illustration of how scumbag reporters lie:
This BBC hack claimed he's seen more hate on Twitter. When asked, he can't name a single example because he hasn't look. Then claims @ISDglobal — funded by US, EU and neoliberal billionaires – said it:pic.twitter.com/Z0F8eGm1wp

The Twitter CEO wouldn’t let him go
“Then I say, sir, that you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Elon slammed back, saying that the interviewer had just lied since he couldn’t back up his accusation. Clayton tried to weasel out, claiming other “organizations” had noticed this.
Musk continued to demand examples until Clayton tried to back out and change the subject. He said they “weren’t getting anywhere” and we needed to “move on.”
The BBC and COVID
Clayton wondered about the entrepreneur removing COVID misinformation about Twitter. Musk wanted Clayton and the BBC to move first and slapped him with, “Has BBC changed its COVID misinformation?” Clayton retorted, “BBC does not set the rules upon Twitter, so I’m asking you.”
Musk was relentless until Clayton asked to “talk about something else”. Musk laughed, “You weren’t expecting that”. The Twitter CEO refused to restrict his answers to what Clayton framed. The reporter called the session a “whirlwind of an interview.”
