When the story of the Nashville area school shooter broke on Monday, everyone described the assailant as a female former student. Since then, the public learned that pseudo-male transgender Audrey Elizabeth Hale was the one who killed three students and three adults. He went by the name “Aiden” up until his death. Senator Josh Hawley is insisting the murder spree be investigated as “a federal hate crime.”
Covenant school was ‘targeted’
Monday’s shooting at a Nashville, Tennessee Christian school “should be investigated as a hate crime,” declared Missouri Senator Josh Hawley on Tuesday. “We should be clear about what happened in Nashville. Police say the shooting was ‘targeted,’” he tweeted out.
“That makes it a federal hate crime – against Christian children and teachers. Targeting victims on the basis of religious affiliation is a hate crime. It should be investigated as such.”
Since Hale got their wish for “suicide by cop,” there won’t be any prosecution. There will be an investigation, though. Officials at all levels need to figure out what happened at the school so it can be prevented from happening again. “All federal resources necessary should be brought to bear,” Hawley insists.

Those “individuals or groups who have spread a message of hate against the Christian community – which resulted here in horrific violence – should be held to account.”
By Tuesday, March 28, the victims had been identified. Three students were all age 9. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney. Also murdered were head of the school Katherine Koonce, 60, custodian 61-year-old Mike Hill and Cynthia Peak, a substitute teacher, also 61.
The facility is described as “a private Christian institution for students up to 6th grade.”
Identified as transgender
Once police had the shooter neutralized, they found Hale’s car parked in the lot. Inside it were things such as a “manifesto.” Hale had also texted a friend saying they were suicidal. Social media is being scoured for all the tiny details. Police confirmed that the deceased shooter was “Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a 28-year-old Nashville resident who identified as transgender.”
Chief of police John Drake noted Hale “prepared for the shooting.” Along with a “manifesto,” they “also determined that there were maps drawn of the school in detail of surveillance entry points.”
They also confirmed that “at one point she was a student at that school.” Audrey/Aiden “was heavily armed with two AR-style weapons and a pistol, but was not wearing body armor.” Surveillance video released shows “Hale shot her way into the church/school through a set of glass doors at a side entrance of the building.”

Right now, the hate crime “remains under investigation and is being led by several MNPD components, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the ATF and Tennessee Highway Patrol.”
It should be totally clear to everybody that this is a hate crime. It’s clear to conservatives. Things get muddy when liberals and their twisted thought processes come along.
If a White male shoots up a predominantly Black school, that’s clearly and obviously a hate crime. When the victims are White Christians, progressives insist that can’t possibly be hate or racist oriented because White Christians are the privileged majority who hold all the power.
