Botched Surgery Left Patient with Half a Foot of ROTTING Flesh

A surgeon that worked with transgenders now faces more critical reviews after pictures of a botched operation surfaced. Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher is a Miami-based surgeon that does double mastectomies for minors that identify as transgender. She’s called the “Tik Tok Surgeon” due to her advertising methods on social media. Up til now, her critics were those who are against gender ideology. That has changed.

Patients aren’t happy with the surgeon

Rylan is a 23-year-old female that identifies as transgender. She published a review on the platform Medium.

“In August of 2022, I flew to Miami, Florida to get top surgery from Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher. 3 weeks later, a local surgeon had to rush me in to remove over half a foot of dead, rotting tissue. Gallagher dismissed every concern, including hollow cavities that formed on my ripped-open incision.”

The surgeon spoke with Rylan

She starting talking about the incident November 22, including screen shots of emails with the doctor and describing the problem. By December 8 Rylan’s video had gone viral with 4.5 million views and over 14,000 comments. Most expressed sympathy and outrage.

As word spread about Rylan, others in similar shoes took to Tik Tok to share warnings. One started with, “If you are part of the trans community, or you’re an ally, I need you to heed this warning and beware of Dr. Gallagher.” A second voiced, “If you’re considering getting top surgery done by Dr. Gallagher, who you might have noticed on TikTok — DON’T.” A third added, “This person is not to be trusted when it comes to your healthcare.”

Surgeon for those who are overweight

Rylan went to Gallagher because she’ll work with those who are heavier. Rylan explained, “She’s one of the only gender surgeons with no BMI cap in my country.”

But after four days things started to fall apart. Gallagher kept assuring her everything was fine. Rylan commented, “I was confused, because her TikTok page has videos where she says she’s never had an incision break.” But after three weeks Rylan had to under emergency surgery to correct the mess. She was septic. “I went under anesthesia 3 days later and woke up to a nurse telling me I could’ve gone septic without the surgery. Over half a foot of my left side had been killed by a bacteria that has a high mortality rate.“ To top it off, Gallagher can’t be touched legally. She’d opted out of malpractice insurance, it’s not required where she practices. Rylan lamented, “The payout would not be enough to cover the cost of the case for a law firm, so lawyers are highly unlikely to help me sue her without that insurance. I was told she likely utilizes this loophole on purpose, knowing it leaves her victims powerless.”
