Remember when Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was sneaking around with her campaign adviser Tim Mynett?
Mynett is the co-owner of E Street Group, and Omar paid him several million for his services.
Well, now that she has been forced to use someone else, all of a sudden, her campaign fees are going way down, as in millions of dollars down.
Overpriced or Overpaid
So, let me lay this scenario on you for size.
Let’s hypothetically say that a congresswoman was having an affair with her campaign adviser.
Let’s say that they had talked and that adviser was going to leave his wife for the politician, and that politician wanted to make sure they had a good start together.
Now, if that politician paid that adviser $3 million in fees, then stopped using him, then only spent about a third of that with the next company, would you think something was up?
That is exactly what happened with Ilhan Omar and now husband Tim Mynett.
In addition to campaign buys, campaign payroll has been reduced significantly to the tune of almost $2 million.
So, either E Street was very expensive, overpaid, or this was a scam.
We should also note that Omar has no real challengers in her district, as it a heavy African migrant population that is automatically pulling the handle for her.
Realistically, her spend during the 2022 campaign is about what it should have been.
No wonder she is not picking up the phone when being contacted for a comment on this.
