House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn’t back down either physically or with words unless she herself is threatened. And everything is politically calculated just like Obama and Bill Clinton was. It’s a shock to read that not only wasn’t she going to throw the book at Trump (ANYTHING to shut him up or remove) but that a member of HER OWN PARTY threatened to remove her from power. Her Achilles heel is power because everything she’s done or said has been given a pass.
Nancy makes it look like he’s just not worth it
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi backed down from the impeachment threat, telling reporters, “I don’t think he’s worth the trouble at this point.” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) didn’t get the memo. She said, “all of the tools available to our disposal…all of these options should be entertained and on the table,”
One of those arrows in the quiver has been removed. Pelosi added, “As of now, 40 days to go, it’s up to the people. And we want them to go to be able to have confidence in their vote.”
Nancy just got pushed to the wall nobody thought existed
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told reporters, “I will make you this promise, listening to the speaker on television this weekend, if she tries to move for an impeachment based upon the president following the Constitution, I think there will be a move on the floor to no longer have the question of her being speaker. She may think she has a quiver — we do, too. The president is supposed to move forward and they will. The Senate is supposed to take the action and they will. It’s their constitutional right and they are following through.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg has said the President’s term is four years, not three and this is part of his job. So Trump will go forward with a nominee.
Nancy and the Democrats doubtless have other things in that quiver
So watch her carefully. The Minority Leader may need to watch his back. You don’t threaten the Queen. Not everything is as it seems.
Nancy Pelosi’s threat for a second and multiple impeachment attempts prompted the House Freedom Caucus to have a party meeting about her removal. McCarthy’s announcement was an attempt to provide cover for Democrats up for re election and ease the fury of the Freedom Caucus.
McCarthy reasoned, “I don’t think it’s the best move at the moment. The best move is to win 218 seats, and that defeats Nancy Pelosi.”
Edit: A thanks to my faithful and shrewd readers that spotted the typo in the original article. Kevin McCarthy is a Republican, not a Democrat!
