A SWAT team dragged Empire co-star Bryshere Gray away in handcuffs after “an hours-long standoff at his suburban Phoenix home.” One black life didn’t matter very much to him, Gray strangled his wife “until she lost consciousness.” The crime that his co-star Jussie Smollett committed pales in comparison. All Smollett did was fake a hate crime, to get attention. Gray actually committed assault and maybe even attempted murder.
SWAT negotiated for hours
By the time Bryshere Gray surrendered around 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning, SWAT and the Crisis Negotiations unit of the Goodyear, Arizona, police department had been talking to him all night. Now he’s facing multiple assault charges, just for openers. The actor who played “Hakeem Lyon” on Empire and “raps under the name ‘Yazz the Greatest'” went hippity hopping off in handcuffs like the Easter Bunny.
Local police explain that the drama opened when an unidentified woman described as “Gray’s wife,” Made contact with a driver at a local convenience store shortly after ten Sunday night. A press release regarding the arrest notes that “the woman made the call after being given a ride by someone she flagged down at a gas station. She told the person who drove her that she had been assaulted for several hours.”
She looked like she had been assaulted for hours. The statement describes she had “numerous visible injuries” on her body and alleged that “Gray strangled her to the point where she once lost consciousness.” She was taken to the hospital while police surrounded the home. Mrs. Gray was released from the hospital after treatment.
Gray refused to come out
Just because he makes fat stacks as a gangster rapper in front of a camera on a hit TV show that made it a full six seasons, Gray thought he could hold off the SWAT team like a boogie boy with a case of dynamite. According to police, “Gray refused to come out of the house to speak with them,” so they called in the Crisis Negotiations team “due to the violent nature of the accusations.” They spent a full seven hours talking him down.
As described by Goodyear police, “Gray ultimately surrendered around seven Monday morning without incident.” He hasn’t been charged with attempted murder, at least not yet, but “the actor now faces one count of aggravated assault, one count of assault, and one count of disorderly conduct.”
Bryshere Gray played the character of “Hakeem Lyon” on Empire which ran on Fox for six seasons. It was canceled since “actor Jussie Smollett claimed he was the victim of a racially and politically-motivated assault.” What really happened was he hired some guys to rough him up and tie a noose around his neck for a necktie. He was later arrested and prosecuted for making the story up. At least he didn’t get surrounded by SWAT.
Figures , one of Just Smellits friends .To many of these Hollywood types think that they are above all laws , their “Star’ status leaves them immune from prosecution for anything and everything .
Chalking up his “STREET CREDS”. This is so important for many in this particular group.
Black lives muck it up. They simply do not know how to live peacefully.
The types are sickenly self-absorbed to the point their common sense has fled them. They operate in a fantasy world and have convinced themselves the laws are for everyone else. Just silly and sickening. They need to come back down to earth or get their heads out of their own behinds.
WHY DIDN’T THEY JUST SHOOT THE HOUSE FULL OF TEAR GAS AND WHEN HE CAME OUT, BUST THAT HEAD…JUST LIKE IN THE 60’S…THAT NI**ER NEEDS TO LEARN HIS PLACE…
I often watch Dateline on MSNBC as I did just last night to watch some of the most gruesome murders of our time.People cutting people up and putting them in the woods and the likes.Someone here shouted about Black Lives as certain behavior is a people’s behavior. For the record,it’s mostly white on white for money or inheritance. So,crime is not a one sided street.
HOW STUPID…….
I personally would have taken him to the wood shed and beat some manners into him!
