The diversity, equity and inclusion or DEI agenda is full speed ahead in the Biden administration. Race and sexuality-based employees maybe priority over skills for the job. Biden put out an executive order to create resource groups June 2021. The Office of Personnel Management, the government’s human resource division, has hosted two summits on those resource groups to strategically advance this agenda.

DEI boxes

The resource groups are “spaces where employees of similar identities can talk freely amongst themselves and come together based on shared identities” where supposedly “barriers of equity are eliminated”. The website explains that some groups are invitation only.

“If you do not share that identity, show your allyship by respecting those private gatherings and giving space for people to gather and talk freely amongst themselves.” Among the invite-only groups are Latinx, Working While Black, and “Not Your Dude”. The last one is for “cis women, trans women, trans men, non-binary people, and those who are otherwise marginalized (i.e., non-hegemonic masculine folks).”

These identity based groups are being used as organizing hubs for left wing bureaucrats. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence oversees the CIA, NSA, FBI and parts of the Pentagon.

DEI for development

Through the DNI, the affinity groups led a race based leadership program. Two networks, African American and Latino, hosted a recent summit so attendees “learned about unique opportunities at other agencies” and were given guidance on building a professional brand.

Asian or Pacific Islanders have influenced how we talk with foreigners. The organizations “have been particularly successful in creating a new framework and language guidelines for how we talk about the People’s Republic of China.”

The National Security Agency has 10 different employee resource groups based on racial or ethnic backgrounds. “These employee-led groups are composed of individuals who work together to foster an inclusive and unified culture. Individuals may join ERGs as either a member or ally.”

DEI for everybody

The CIA’s group, for those who identify as LGBT, had a summit in 2022 that had sessions such as “Pride & Color: A Queer Person of Color Experience,” “Transgender Inclusion Training,” and “LGBTQIA+ & Disability.” Agencies involved with America’s land and animals had a panel discussion as part of a “transgender day of visibility”.

The DOI and agencies underneath that have a long list of these resource groups. The Fish and Wildlife’s group exists to “promote solidarity and support among BIPOC employees and allies; in order to harness our collective strengths toward creating positive, lasting change that advances justice, equity, diversity, inclusion.” The Geological Survey’s group stands ready to assist in cultivating an inclusive and high-performing workforce that empowers all of its LGBTQ employees.”

The group in the Department of the Treasury pushes DEI throughout the agency. They meet “to identify methods to promote D&I throughout the organization. The National Institutes of Health similarly states that employee resource groups are used to facilitate “employee activism inside and outside the workplace.”

Resource groups are just one way this agenda is being pushed throughout the administration. Multiple executive orders have been signed to this effect with gender transition being encouraged and normal biological terms being banned.
