Over the last few weeks, the administration of New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been under the microscope.
That culminated in an indictment being issued against Adams for alleged wire fraud, among other charges.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) took no time at all to call for Adams to resign, just as we expected.

Adams could be guilty of the charges, but I would say just about every member of Congress has done the same thing.
By no means am I defending Adams having allegedly taken money from a foreign agent to pump up his campaign, but I just find it odd that he was so vocally opposed to Biden’s border plan and now he and Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), who was also vocal on this, find themselves being investigated.
We all know AOC loves her illegals, so it was not shocking at all to see her demand that Adams resign his position.
AOC stated, stated, “I do not see how Mayor Adams can continue governing New York City.
“The flood of resignations and vacancies are threatening gov function.
“Nonstop investigations will make it impossible to recruit and retain a qualified administration. For the good of the city, he should resign.”
Adams’ former opponent also took a shot at him.
Scott Stringer, the former New York City comptroller and 2021 mayoral candidate, added, “The mayor needs to resign for the good of the city. His legal fight is not our fight
“While the mayor focuses on proving his innocence, the rest of us need to focus on the business of the city — building affordable housing, educating our kids, and keeping this city safe.”
As I stated above, it would not surprise me in the least if Adams is guilty, but I would wager if you dug into the donation records of everyone in the Hill right now, the majority of them have money coming from foreign agents, but nobody cares unless you are pushing back against the system.
The DOJ better hope it comes up big in this investigation because if they don’t, it will be yet another case of Biden weaponizing the DOJ to take out a political enemy.
And make no mistake about it, with all the noise that Adams has made about the immigration problems, Biden considers him an enemy.
