Looks like Democrats’ soft on crime policies are really being put to good use out there. This past week, Democrats have witnessed numerous crimes take place, and now we have another: Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas was carjacked at gunpoint on Monday evening, October 2.
According to police, Cuellar was parking his car in Washington’s Navy Yard neighborhood when three armed assailants approached him and proceeded to steal his vehicle right from under his nose.
Thankfully, the Congressman wasn’t injured during the incident, which is being investigated by both Metro PD and Capitol Police.
Glad to hear Congressman Henry Cuellar is safe. I hope he learns from this carjacking experience and uses it to push his party to reject Soros prosectors, reject the no bail lunacy, reject defund police stupidity and embrace law and order. America needs a SERIOUS crime crackdown!

Unfortunately for Congressman Cuellar—and everyone else living in or visiting our nation’s capital—his story is far from unique, as D.C.’s crime rate has skyrocketed this year with seemingly no end in sight.
Carjackings have risen 115 percent since January 1st while robberies are up 68% and homicides 38%, making even mundane activities such as parking your car potentially dangerous endeavors.
Residents of the Navy Yard area where Cuellar’s carjacking took place have spoken out about their concerns regarding crime since last July, but their calls for help have gone largely unheard by those who can make a difference in their situation.
This fear and frustration were evident when speaking to local residents anonymously; not only do they worry about vandalism if they speak out about illegal activity occurring in their neighborhood, they also face potential threats to themselves or their wellbeing if they do so.
It’s an unacceptable reality that many citizens feel unable to protect themselves due to such pervasive intimidation tactics employed by criminals who show no regard for public safety or orderliness within their community.
And it isn’t just private citizens bearing the brunt of this rise in violent crimes either; earlier this year Republican Sen Rand Paul’s staffer was stabbed on a DC street while Democratic Rep Angie Craig suffered bruises after being attacked at her own apartment building back in February.
These incidents serve as reminders that no one is immune from these attacks regardless of status or wealth.
