ICYMI – A former top adviser for Donald Trump is getting divorced.
Kellyanne Conway and her polarizing husband, George Conway, are calling it quits.
The soon-to-be ex-couple have obtained attorneys and are now reportedly hashing out the divorce.
Calling It Quits
Conway, if you recall, left the Trump administration to work on her family.
So, many of us thought that they would be able to work things out, especially because things have been so quiet on that front after she left.
Kellyanne made it clear in her book she felt betrayed by her husband, but it did seem as though things were going better, but that was clearly not the case.
The marriage went on the rocks almost as soon as Kellyanne started working for Trump.
Trump, of course, did not make the situation any better by openly attacking George Conway in his efforts to stick up for Kellyanne.
Trump once posted, “George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him.”
He would go on to call George Conway “a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”
I am sure that went over well at the dinner table that night.
With Trump having announced, perhaps she figured it was best to get this over with so she can either work for Trump again or do more time on Fox News, where she is currently a contributor.
