The third candidate has officially entered the presidential race on the Republican side.
Don’t get too excited, though, because he will probably be out before South Carolina.
Tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has announced that he is running for president.
Who?
If that was the question that you asked, you are not alone.
Techies might know him, but most people only watching politics do not.
Ramaswamy appears to be trying to give voters another MAGA choice, but he will not even make a dent in this race.
Even so, he stated, “As U.S. President, I will end federally mandated affirmative action – full stop.
“I will repeal Lyndon Johnson’s Executive Order 11246 which mandates race-based quotas.
“Every Republican since Johnson had the opportunity to do it.
“I’ll do it on Day 1 without apology.”
The left will eat him alive, undoubtedly calling him a minority racist that is being used by white people to push an extreme agenda.
While on Tucker Carlson, he stated, “We are in the middle of this national identity crisis, Tucker, where we have celebrated our differences for so long that we forgot all the ways we are really just the same as Americans bound by a common set of ideals that set this nation into motion 250 years ago.
“That’s why I am proud to say tonight that I am running for United States president to revive those ideals in this country.”

I think the best person to compare him to at this point would be Andrew Wang, who ran in the Democrat primary in 2020.
He will not be around for long, especially if DeSantis does decide to run.
