If there was ever a mic-drop moment in politics, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) just had it.
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) decided to challenge Cruz to a bet over the upcoming Cowboys-49ers playoff game.
Swalwell wanted to bet Twitter silence.
Cruz had a different idea.
The Challenge
Normally I would say what Cruz did was a bit of a low blow, but considering the comments that Swalwell has made over the last six years, anything is fair game.
Swalwell’s challenge was that if the 49ers win, Cruz had to go dark on Twitter for the rest of the month.
If the Cowboys win, Swalwell would have to go dark on Twitter for the remainder of the month.
