Buttigieg, by any possible measure, has been horrible as our Secretary of Transportation.
There have been numerous calls for his resignation.
He should have been on the ground in Ohio within 24 hours of that accident, something even he now admits was a failure.
Should Have Gone
The reason this derailment gets elevated is because of the chemical spill.
When something like this happens, people want to see the big names.
That is all part of being the boss… showing up.
Buttigieg has offered up nothing but excuses so far, which is why I was shocked to hear him admit he should have come sooner.
When asked about it, he stated, “The answer to your question is yes.”
He continued, “I felt strongly about this and could have expressed that sooner.
“Again, I was taking pains to respect the role that I have and the role that I don’t have, but that should not have stopped me from weighing in about how I felt about what was happening to this community.”
Still loaded with excuses, but at least he finally gets that he screwed up.
