Donald Trump is seemingly forgetting how the system works.
Trump is livid that DeSantis will not commit to NOT running for election in 2024.
His opinion is that he made DeSantis, and out of respect, DeSantis should just allow Trump to run in 2024 unchallenged.
Doesn’t Work That Way
Trump blistered DeSantis from his Save America PAC, the PAC that had about $250 million and barely spent a penny on Trump-backed candidates.
Trump wrote, “Ron DeSanctimonious is playing games!
“The Fake News asks him if he’s going to run if President Trump runs, and he says, ‘I’m only focused on the Governor’s race, I’m not looking into the future.’
“Well, in terms of loyalty and class, that’s really not the right answer.”
Then he tried to take away from DeSantis’ achievements since taking office by calling him an “average REPUBLICAN Governor with great Public Relations.”
Throughout the election cycle, all Trump did was talk about how big of a lead he has on everyone in the GOP field for the 2024 cycle.
So, why is he so worried about whether DeSantis will run?
I think he would welcome the challenge to prove he is the best candidate.
The funny thing is that DeSantis is not even responding, refusing to engage, which I think is driving Trump even more nuts.
