Media Mogul libertarian Elon Musk kicked over another bee hive, when he tweeted out that the “woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters.” That triggered socialist Ohio lawmaker Nina Turner. “Define ‘woke,‘” the “former co-chair for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign” tapped back. She thought she knew what she was doing.
Liberals love media word games
One of the favorite games of the liberal left is the one of twisting every word said in the media. If they agree with it they spin it further left and if they disagree, they spin it back in the face of whoever dared say it.
They weren’t sure what to do with “woke” and it got whacked right back in their faces. Musk didn’t have to say a word because his followers handled the job for him.
For instance, one user’s definition states, the “inability to solve problems without blame or shame often taking on the role of victim without personally experiencing whatever it is they convinced themselves they are being mentally traumatized by.”

That one’s getting a lot of likes on media platform Twitter. Author Dave Benner contributed: “A cultural religion that combines postmodernism, extreme political correctness, and Marxist oppression narratives.”
Social media users still remember when Bill Clinton’s impeachment conviction all came down to what the “definition of ‘is‘ is.” A few anarchist followers flipped the table around on Ms. Turner by asking her to “define the word woman.”
That was a “reference to a memorable exchange between Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson during the latter’s confirmation hearing in March.” Jackson couldn’t come up with one. “I’m not a biologist.” Neither can Turner.
A history lesson, too
One user of the social media platform couldn’t resist sharing a little history of the word with their definition.
“Woke: Any of several forms of radical socialism philosophy with the goal of destroying the social fabric of our nation. Note: The original social justice definition was destroyed by the 2020 summer street riots intent on destroying police forces and normalizing anarchy.”
According to Scott Embree, “Rather than confronting bad ideas through discussion or debate, woke people intimidate people into silence.” Like by censoring conservatives on social media.

“Woke people point out injustice and prejudice even where it doesn’t exist. They crave conflict and will go to any lengths to achieve it.” Even if they have to light a police station on fire to do it.
Phillip Hawkins used to be a middle school teacher but valued his life. His advice to everyone on the media thread was don’t even waste your time fighting them.
There’s no point to provide a definition because “progressives would just change the definition anyway.” Laws are the same way. Nothing is carved in stone, it’s all subject to interpretation. The only thing that matters is what side the decision makers are on. That’s why James Baker and Yoel Roth are in so much hot water right now.
