Trump just gave Democrats the excuse they need to end his career.
You are going to have to bear with me for just a minute because it sounds utterly ridiculous in the beginning.
But, I will get you there, I promise.
Cannot Do That
Trump loves to flash the presidential seal, and he is doing it again this weekend.
The problem, however, is that he is doing it while hosting an LIV golf event at his NJ club.
The seal is on his golf carts, golf towels, markers, and a bunch of other swag at the event, giving off the impression that the event is sponsored and approved by the United States government.
That is not the case.
Federal law states that the presidential seal may not be used to give the “impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States.”
If found guilty, Trump could be fined and sent to prison for as long as six months.
As you can clearly see in this video, Trump is breaking that federal law…
Now, this is a law that is rarely, if ever enforced, but we are talking about Donald Trump here.
So, let’s say that Joe Biden runs again and Trump wins the nomination.
Then fast forward to the beginning of 2024 and Trump is beating Biden handily in polling, making it appear that he will win back the presidency.
Suddenly, charges come down from the DOJ, with a conviction timed perfectly to land about six months before election day.
How can Trump campaign if he is sitting in a jail cell?
Sounds silly and crazy, but is it something you would not expect from this administration if it meant four more years in the White House for Democrats?
