Who was authorized to apply for this and just as important, who let it through? Planned Parenthood is too big to be receiving these funds. Money can be an addiction, a mental illness. Democrats will even insist on their money if they couldn’t spend it. Planned Parenthood is not only murdering the unborn but they’re also an arm of the DNC. All of this flies in the face of “being safe” with the coronvirus killing people.
The CEO of the Planned Parenthood affiliate in Washington, DC, Laura Meyers, asked for money just months after publicly saying they’d turn down funds.
“Planned Parenthood is never going to allow the Trump-Pence administration to bully us into withholding critical health information from our patients,” Meyers said in August 2019.
Planned Parenthood needs to put up or shut up
Talk is cheap. How often are words thrown around in Washington? If Planned Parenthood wants to continue receiving federal funds, you need to put your money where you mouth is. Leave abortions out of it and just do the women’s care you profess to do. The Small Business Administration just called you on it, knowing you’d sneak around to get what you wanted anyhow.
Several Republican Senators, including Marco Rubio, R-Fla called for an investigation.
“There is no ambiguity in the legislation that passed or public record around its passage that organizations such as Planned Parenthood, whose parent organization has close to half a billion dollars in assets, is not eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program,” Rubio said.“Those funds must be returned immediately. Furthermore, the SBA should open an investigation into how these loans were made in clear violation of the applicable affiliation rules and if Planned Parenthood, the banks, or staff at the SBA knowingly violated the law, all appropriate legal options should be pursued.”
Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo tweeted, “The money needs to be recovered and if anybody knowingly falsified applications, they need to be prosecuted.”
Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla chimed in, “Yet another example of the #PPP program being misused. Florida’s taxpayers should not be footing to bail out a huge organization like Planned Parenthood. This money should be returned immediately.”
Senator James Lankford, R-Okla said it best. “Every dollar Planned Parenthood took from PPP was a dollar that did not get to legitimate small businesses.”
“With an annual budget of over one billion dollars and the explicit Small Business Administration affiliation rules made it clear that Planned Parenthood was not and is not eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program,” Lankford added. “Like other large organizations that returned monies they were not eligible for, Planned Parenthood should immediately repay the American people the money they took from deserving small businesses and non-profits.”
Never let a good crisis go to waste
It’s ironic liberals scream we have to “be safe” so people don’t die from the coronavirus. At the same time, babies are being murdered. If they were being consistent, Planned Parenthood and affiliates would indeed provide women’s care and back off on abortions.
“Across the country, Planned Parenthood refused to cease its abortion operation in wake of the pandemic, hoarding personal protective equipment and putting its staff and women at risk,” an advocate for the Susan B. Anthony List told Fox News.
“It is rich that they, in turn, feel entitled to taxpayer dollars meant to help businesses in need,” the publicist continued.”After decades of feeding at the taxpayer’s trough while running the nation’s largest abortion operation, they have over a billion dollars in net assets. They should return this funding immediately. We thank President Trump for his strong commitment to stop taxpayer funding of abortion and abortionists like Planned Parenthood.”
Planned Parenthood is not in need, quit being pigs
Planned Parenthood claimed a record number of abortions in January. Affiliates asserted 345,672 abortions were performed between Oct. 1, 2017 and Sept. 30, 2018. At the same time, it was insisted only a small percentage, just 4%, were abortions.
The vast majority, or 98% of PPP loans are under $1 million. The average is $118,000. Some funds have been canceled or returned. They can still be used in the future.
