Democrat party politics didn’t end with Biden withdrawing from the race. The president’s quick endorsement of Kamala Harris wasn’t done because he thinks she’ll be great for the job. It was done more out of defiance of what the party did to him. Obama wasn’t too sure about Harris either and had told Joe to let his replacement be chosen at the convention. But Joe didn’t want to be replaced to begin with.
Biden furious
A source that was close to the family only said, “It was Joe’s big f–k you. Joe said, ‘If I’m out, then I am endorsing her.’” Another Democrat insider said Pelosi, Obama and Schumer all want a “mini primary” to pick the next candidate.
Obama wanted Senator Mark Kelly, husband of Gabby Giffords. A source said the president choosing Kamala “Joe truly knifing Obama and Pelosi in the back for making him stand down.”
If the sources are on the level. Obama’s eventual endorsement of Harris was as voluntary as Joe being pushed out. Obama’s call to endorse Harris was for show and publicity only.
Biden didn’t want to leave
“Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.” If all these reports are solid, the irony of the other side of the coin is glaring.
The party that constantly talks “democracy” is itself selecting a presidential nominee with closed door back room dealings and narrow minded egos. It resembles Chicago operations with “Game of Thrones” stakes.
The American electorate waits outside while the power brokers make their deals, presenting them to the world as “this was what was decided”. It seems to be a united front.
Biden wasn’t done
This united front is meant only for public consumption with a cooperating establishment media. The president maintained he’d drop out “only if God told him to”.
Obama may have encouraged actor George Clooney to write an op-ed urging Biden to step down ironically shortly after hosting a fund raiser for him. Obama publicly stated the president had a bad night at the debate to appear to give him some room.
The president is resentful at how Obama’s staff treated him and how he was pushed aside for Hillary Clinton in 2016. He was ready to run back then.
