Just In: Insider Leaks Stance On Mandatory Lockdown

President Trump is trying to avoid placing the entire country under a mandatory lockdown. He would much prefer to let individual states and localities make that decision for themselves. There are many areas of the country that are still totally unaffected, so a full scale quarantine could end up doing more harm than good.

President avoiding mandatory lockdown

President Donald Trump has long been known as a fierce advocate for states’ rights. This is a perfect example of a time when the federal government should step back. He wants to let the individual states decide the best way to react, and then support those decisions with federal help. If a state thinks it’s best to lock everyone down, then he’s all for it, but if it isn’t necessary, don’t do it.

Monday morning’s scheduled briefing by the Vice President and the coronavirus task force was pushed back to 3:30 p.m. due to the rapidly evolving situation. When the briefing occurs, the administration is expected to lay out new “broad-based recommendations” for the public.

Sunday night, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention put out a bulletin advising everyone to “cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more through the United States.” At least for the next eight weeks. Also on Sunday night, the Department of Health and Human services was [http://patriotnationpress.com/foreign-attacks-hijacked-us-virus-alert-system/] hacked. The text messages that went out saying the nation was about to be locked down were “fake.” Hackers, believed to be from a foreign country, bombarded the HHS website in a DDOS attack to paralyze the website after sending out the bogus alert. The National Security Council is looking into it.

Disagreement behind the scenes

Insiders who are a little nervous about sharing their identity relate that there are two schools of thought going on behind the scenes as to how far restrictions on travel and movement need to be.

One side is worried that a mandatory nationwide quarantine would do more damage to the economy than necessary, at a time when every little bit of help matters. The other side insists that “drastic measures” are necessary to “flatten the curve.” The rise of new cases has been exponential and so far haven’t shown any sign of leveling off.

One of the advocates for mandatory coast-to-coast quarantine is Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He has little faith in the American public to self-quarantine when appropriate. He wants Big Brother to clear the streets. “I think Americans should be prepared that they are going to have to hunker down significantly more than we as a country are doing.”

He grudgingly admits that if folks use common sense and appropriately avoid exposing themselves and others, it would be great. He just doesn’t trust us. He’ll do “whatever it takes” to see a “dramatic diminution of the personal interaction.”

Life won’t be the same for a while

Another thing that Dr. Fauci emphasized is that the new normal will be with us for a long while. “For a while, life is not going to be the way it used to be in the United States. We have to just accept that if we want to do what’s best for the American public.”

From what we already know about the outbreak the worst is still to come. “We have not yet reached our peak,” Fauci insists. “The US can expect more cases and deaths.”

  1. The Presidents detractor attempt to intimate that the President doesn’t have a plan to tackle the virus problem, however, the comment itself, and the vague trepidation, do a suspect job of striking a fair and balanced view of Presidential support. An attempt to use common sense as an approach to giving the President the latitude to do what he thinks best when he is clearly giving the state officials the encouragement to make the calls, reeks of smug condescension. Similar to a Schiff-less leadership approach to running a “drastically weak” impeachment hearing, while using a “ridiculous parody” of a phone call as a “lead-in” to impeachment. Laughable
