President Trump continued his swamp draining purge Friday night. The latest power play is the termination of the Deep State Department’s Inspector General, Steve Linick. The president is fed up with watchdogs that do nothing but lay around and eat kibble, without catching any criminals.
Draining the swamp of murky corruption
The rats have been in charge of guarding the cheese for far too long, which a series of scandals has exposed one after another. Since President Donald Trump took office he has been doing his best to rid the Washington swamp of corruption and illegal activity. The supposedly special watchdog investigators have been turning a blind eye to illegal activities carried out in the Deep State shadows by agents of Barack Obama’s corrupt administration.
The latest toothless watchdog to be sent to the pound, IG Linick, will be replaced by a Trump loyalist and ally of Vice President Mike Pence. President Trump wrote a letter to Nancy Pelosi Friday night, informing her of his decision. Linick was appointed by Barack Obama in 2013 and originally assigned to the Department of Injustice. The president told Pelosi that he “no longer” has the “fullest confidence” in Linick. Which puts it mildly. He told her he intends to send the Senate a fresh nominee “who has my confidence and who meets the appropriate qualifications.” The Oval Office is required to give 30 days notice of such changes.
Liberal progressives instantly turned purple and started screaming. “He’s trying to circumvent oversight of his administration, undermining the ability of other branches to hold him accountable,” they whine. They weren’t holding him accountable, they were plotting to overthrow him even before he won the election.
Patriotic public servants of the swamp
Nancy Pelosi was quick to condemn the president for acting like a president, instead of a Deep State puppet. “The president’s late-night, weekend firing of the State Department inspector general has accelerated his dangerous pattern of retaliation against the patriotic public servants charged with conducting oversight on behalf of the American people.” Nancy Pelosi considers traitorous backstabbing criminals “patriotic public servants,” but fails to admit that they are servants of the evil forces of darkness.
Linick will be replaced by Ambassador Stephen Akard. The career Foreign Service officer, “will now lead the Office of the Inspector General at the State Department.” He’ll be serving in an acting capacity until confirmation. Linick’s colleagues note that “his departure is likely to further deepen morale problems.” Especially for the moles who have been leaking to the press and generally trying to overthrow the White House.
This is the latest of Trump’s swamp draining personnel shakeups over the past few months. Christi Grimm, the Inspector General at the Department of Health and Human services was the last one removed. Democrats want everyone to think it was because she issued a report critical of the Administration’s coronavirus response.
What they don’t know is that behind the scenes there is a much bigger scandal brewing. More than 140 million Americans suffer from severe chemical allergies called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Grimm ignored a whistleblower complaint that could bring a class action suit against the federal government by 140 million angry plaintiffs. She has been pretending they don’t exist for at least two years and they aren’t happy about it. Dr. Deep State, Anthony Fauci, is implicated too. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases refuses to recognize the condition even though his precious World Health Organization does.
The IG for the spy community was also removed. He allowed the intelligence officials from Obama’s administration to aid in the plot to overthrow the president. It’s alleged that the CIA, NSA, and others contributed information which was incorporated into the infamous Steele dossier, used to illegally wiretap Carter Page, and through him, the Trump election campaign. It’s more stunning than Watergate but the sleepy watchdogs never once barked.
