The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution promises equal protection under the law for all citizens, but it is difficult to trust in the impartiality of the system when certain people seem to be treated differently.
This was recently highlighted by the investigation into the drowning of Tafari Campbell, private chef to former President Obama.
According to The Daily Mail, Edgartown police left blank a crucial part of their official log – why had they been called out on this particular night?
It has since come out that Wilson’s Landing, a paddleboard launch site located two miles from Obama’s house on Turkeyland Cove, was where the call originated from.
Edgartown Police Chief Bruce McNamee speculated that it could have been because someone had dialed directly a business line rather than 911.
Additionally, neither have they revealed who was with Campbell at the time of his death nor has anyone identified the female caller who first alerted them about his drowning.
All we know is that she reported seeing two individuals going back and forth in a boat looking for him.
One wonders how this information remains unknown given how much media attention this high-profile story has received?

At 8:23 pm rescuers met with this caller and Barack and Michelle Obama were on Martha’s Vineyard at that time though not in their home while their daughters Malia and Sasha were also present but their whereabouts remain undisclosed.
They eventually found Campbell’s body 100 feet away from shore around 10 am Monday morning without any visible external trauma injuries or toxicology results being announced yet by Massachusetts State Police determining this death as “not suspicious”.
However, several unanswered questions still linger in our minds making us doubt if justice is truly blind?
