There was a time in this country when a president blatantly leaving Americans behind in a war zone would have been a career-ender.
That day no longer seems to be here.
Joe Biden has survived doing this once already, having abandoned more than 1,000 citizens in Afghanistan.
He is about to do it again in Sudan.
They Will Be Fine
Sudan has erupted in violence and countries from around the world are shuttling people out of the country.
The one country that is not doing that… the United States.
In fact, Secretary of State Blinken is putting on the front that the roughly 16,000 Americans in Sudan are content to stay there.
He stated, “First, in terms of American citizens in Sudan, as you know, in any country around the world, whether it’s Sudan or anywhere else, we never know with any precision how many Americans may be there at any given time because Americans are not required to register with the embassy with the government, either when they go when they reside or when they leave.
“So we don’t have a good fix on the number of Americans who are there at any given time, including now.”
He continued, “We’re in very active touch communication.
“And of those, I would say some dozen this have expressed an interest in leaving.”
He is lying, and everyone knows it…
John Kirby tells @GayleKing that it’s currently unsafe to provide more evacuations of Americans in Sudan.
He also says that most of the Americans trapped are dual citizens & don’t want to leave.
Gayle just sat there – no pushback. So sad. This isn’t remotely true. @CBSMornings

The fact is, Americans are trying to get out and the only way they can is with the help of other countries…
Since the media injects race/skin color into everything how come @GayleKing didn't question Kirby @DeptofDefense on how many Black Americans are abandoned by our gov? #Sudan

The administration cannot even get its own story straight on this…
"16,000 Americans still in Sudan — what do we know about their condition? Are any further evacuation efforts planned?"

How is this okay? How is the media not hammering Joe Biden about this when they get the chance to fire off a question?
He has done it once, and nobody cared.
Are you telling me this man is going to leave thousands of Americans behind again and get away with it?
