First it was the defund the police movement. Now it’s a vaccine mandate. In this case, it’s New York but this has been happening in other states and in a variety of businesses. The jab was called a choice at first. Now it’s become more sinister. Receiving an injection in some cases is now necessary to keeping a roof over your head and food on the table. Now you’re selfish if you don’t want the vaccine.
The mandate will trim the workforce
That’s already strained. Thousands of police, firefighters and others blocked the Brooklyn Bridge Monday in protest over the November 1 deadline to be vaccinated or face unpaid leave.
Some wondered where the money went. One person was heard saying in a tweeted video, “We lost a billion dollars, oopsie! Where did the money go?”
Our installed President and his mandate
Has resulted in a nationwide chant said two different ways. Several Twitter videos by Leeroy Johnson heard both “F**k Joe Biden” and “Let’s Go Brandon”.
The NYPD tweeted out that “All Manhattan bound lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge are currently blocked”. “Hold the line” was also heard. Southwest Airlines caved, New York can too.

The mandate isn’t a choice
Another group carried a “Communism is here” banner. The mandate bears all the hallmarks. You have to put something in your body in order to feed your family. There are a ton of reasons people have for not getting vaccinated, among them might be your doctor says you shouldn’t!
What if you’ve had COVID and you have natural immunity? Doesn’t matter. You still need that shot. So a lawsuit and restraining order has been filed to at least slow this down.

The mandate is political
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio insisted, “It’s time now. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, you’ll be put on unpaid leave. Well, the vast majority of human beings go to work to get paid. And also, I think for a lot of our first responders, there’s a calling. They believe in the work, they care about the work. Those two factors I think are going to cause the vast majority to get vaccinated.” 46,000 state employees aren’t vaccinated. De Blasio has offered a $500 incentive to get this done. If you need an incentive for this, there’s a problem.
This union stepped up! The Police Benevolent Association of NYC has filed a lawsuit and a restraining order on the mandate. PBA President Patrick Lynch explained, “We will also be filing a request for a temporary restraining order asking the court to bar the City and the NYPD from implementing the mandate while our suit is pending. From the beginning of the de Blasio administration‘s haphazard vaccine rollout, we have fought to make the vaccine available to every member who chooses it, while also protecting their right to make that personal medical decision in consultation with their own doctor. Now that the city has moved to unilaterally impose a mandate, we will proceed with legal action to protect our members’ rights.”
