Trump spoke to Breitbart about Oprah being embarrassed for the Vice President. Harris didn’t appear to be ready for the interview. She couldn’t answer basic questions. One couple asked Harris what her plan was to lower the cost of living but Kamala just rambled an answer. Harris has had problems on the Oprah Winfrey show before. Trump and Winfrey go way back before he entered politics.
Trump knows Winfrey
Better than Harris. He thought Harris made a fool out of herself. “She didn’t have an answer to anything, and she made a fool of herself on Oprah. Oprah wanted to crawl under the table — she was embarrassed by it. I know Oprah better than she does because, before I was in politics, Oprah and I had a great relationship. She was at Mar-a-Lago many times.”
But politics now makes enemies out of people that might have known each other for decades.
“Politics can make a lot of enemies out of what were once friends. But, Oprah was at Mar-a-Lago numerous times for very big events she gave, but the biggest was the funeral of Roger King of King World, who was a great guy. That was arranged by Oprah, who said, ‘This is the most beautiful place; can we have his funeral here?’ You know, Roger King was responsible for Oprah.”
Trump confirmed
King’s funeral was indeed at Mar-a-lago and Winfrey attended it. He teased on her show about a presidential run back in the late ‘80’s.
Trump had told Larry King in 1999 he would consider Oprah as a first choice to be his running mate. “Oprah. I love Oprah. Oprah would always be my first choice If she’d do it, she’d be fantastic. I mean, she’s popular, she’s brilliant, she’s a wonderful woman. I mean, if she would ever do it. I don’t know that she would ever do it. She’s got, you know. She would be sort of like me.”
Big change
Winfrey is now a partisan Democrat and doesn’t speak to Trump. She attended the DNC to back Harris when Biden failed so horribly at that summer debate that he was pulled off the ticket.
Oprah tried again to help Harris by hosting that town hall. It proved to be a disaster for her campaign that she couldn’t articulate any answers.
