Bill Maher is promoting his new book, “Real Time with Bill Maher” and to his credit, he’s willing to go on shows that challenge his worldview. Many liberals can’t do that. Maher took it on the chin on Monday, talking with Greg Gutfeld about whether Trump would accept the results of the 2024 election should he lose. Maher insisted no other presidential candidates denied election results. Kelly disagreed.
Kelly reminded Maher of Clinton
Maher said Trump didn’t accept the results of the 2020 election. Kelly countered that Hillary Clinton didn’t accept the results of the 2016 election.
Megan said, “Hillary Clinton, of course, is the original election denier. I’m sure you voted for her in ’16.” The back and forth began.
“Well, she’s not an election denier.”
“She absolutely was the OG election denier.”
“She — first of all, she came out before the sun had risen to concede the election to Trump.”
“And then spent the next four years saying he was illegitimate, he was an illegitimate president,” Kelly reminded that Clinton repeated this for years.
“OK, well, first of all, saying — she didn’t say he was an illegitimate. You tell me exactly what she said.”
“She said those exact words repeatedly.” Megan had to say it again.
Maher ended with the concession speech
Clinton gave a concession speech. Trump did not. Megan also challenged him on the January 6 event.
Maher thought Trump would “show up at the White House whether he’s invited or not” if he lost. Kelly thought that was ridiculous. “Oh stop it, he’s not going to do that.”
Maher insisted that police were killed that day. Kelly tried to set the record straight.
She knows what the liberal press did
Maher started, “Like there was never an attack on the Capitol. That never happened. Like they didn’t show up at the Capitol and break windows and knock down doors and kill cops –”
“They didn’t do that,” Kelly cut him off.
“They didn’t break windows, knock down doors?”
“They didn’t kill cops.”
“They of course did,” Maher raised his voice.
“No, they didn’t,” Megan calmly responded.
“Who did? They died of natural causes that day?”
“Yeah, nobody died that day,” Kelly gently responded.
“Cops,” Maher insisted.
“No. Not true.”
“OK,” Maher did not understand and laughed incredulously. So she asked for names, which he didn’t remember. She said confidently, “There was Brian Sicknick who died later after the fact.”
Lies are being accepted as truth about January 6. The only person killed that day was an unarmed protester named Ashli Babbitt. The police officer Brian Sicknick died the day after from two strokes that happened naturally. His autopsy revealed he was uninjured. Two police officers died by suicide in later days.
