Are the indictments against Trump about winning and putting Trump in prison or are they about something else?
Trump attorney Alina Habba recently commented on this.
She seems to think is more about keeping Trump bogged down and draining his resources than anything else.

You would have to be a moron to think that all of these investigations conveniently wrapped up at the same time.
If you recall, when all of this was going down, we had predicted this is when these cases would come to fruition.
By stacking up these cases like this, they have assured that Trump will be in court during the primary and general election cycle.
Habba commented, “The reason they keep filing [charges] … is because they don’t really care if they win.
“They don’t really care if these cases have merit.
“They care about tying him up so that he can’t be out there doing what he needs to do on the campaign.
“And if we look at the trial schedule that we have coming, it’s literally impossible.
“It’s not about the legal team.
“It’s just the people that need to be there — the witnesses, the depositions … it’s impossible, and that’s by design.”
Trump’s campaign funds have been decimated by these indictments, having drained the accounts by about $50 million, and this is just getting started.
There is no way Trump’s campaign will be able to cover the legal bills that are headed his way, which means Trump may have to start dipping into his personal funds.
Then there are appeals, and possibly arguments before the Supreme Court.
If Trump does not have campaign funds, he cannot hold rallies, he cannot advertise, and he cannot campaign… which is exactly what they want.
