Just this afternoon on Wednesday, October 18, the United States Capitol was taken over by pro-Palestine protesters as hundreds pushed their way into the Cannon House office building. Capitol Police made several arrests as protesters were seen demanding Israeli ceasefire.
The protest was organized jointly by the Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and IfNotNow in response to the recent violence from Hamas militants against Israeli civilians which has been condoned by the Biden administration.

It has been reported that progressives in Congress have been pushing President Biden for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as the death toll rises in Gaza, but he has yet to take decisive action.
The demonstration was intended to send a message that America does not support this violence against Palestinians and that they have a right to live without fear of genocide.
Representatives Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Cori Bush (D-Mo.), who have called on Biden for an immediate cease-fire, spoke to the crowd before they entered the Capitol building with both emphasizing that not all Americans want Palestinians to die.

As protesters breached Congressional Building Regulations, Capitol Police warned them of their arrests if they continued demonstrating inside. This lead to several arrests but it is not clear how many at this time as authorities are yet to confirm the number of those apprehended during this incident.
The House Sergeant at Arms issued an alert restricting entry points into House office buildings due to First Amendment activities occurring on Capitol Grounds while supporters gathered outside showing solidarity with those getting arrested within the Rotunda building itself.

Now, the question that many have is will these people receive the same treatment as those who were in attendance of January 6th? Sadly, I think we all know the answer to that. It appears that when it comes to Democrat leftists, everything is allowed.
