When Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, many questions were asked about what happened on January 6th and the security lapse that allowed it to happen.
During this conversation, one individual who seemed to have evaded justice was brought up – Ray Epps.
Tucker Carlson Questions How the Heck Ray Epps Is Not in Jail
“Here you have a guy on camera repeatedly saying, ‘We’re going to the Capitol,’ and he’s not in jail when people who didn’t go into the Capitol are in jail?”

For nearly an hour, Steven Sund and Tucker Carlson discussed a range of topics surrounding the events of January 6th.
When it came to Ray Epps’ involvement in instigating the crowd to break into the Capitol Building, Carlson asked if anyone else had seen him do so.
Sund responded by saying he believes that he saw someone whisper into another person’s ear before they began attacking officers.
However, due to facial recognition software capacities being available at the time, it is “hard to believe they can’t be found.”
He then went on further by discussing how he wrote about his concerns in a book he wrote.
Tucker then asked Mr. Sund what he thought about figures like Ray Epps seeming to evade justice but being caught instigating the crowd.
He responded that it raised a lot of questions for him after seeing video evidence of him near an executive office building on the fifth day before January 6th talking about getting into the building and then seeing him at Pennsylvania Avenue gate- one of two fence lines- leaning over and whispering something into someone’s ear just moments before they attacked police officers.
As proof that this incident occurred, Tucker pointed out that this same man went on 60 Minutes where he said he went up to an officer and told them “these officers are on our side, don’t hurt these officers.”
Mr. Sund replied: “if that is the case why would you cover your mouth”?
It does not make sense why someone would whisper something like this instead of yelling it out for everyone hear?
This is suspicious behavior from Mr. Epps, in Mr Sunn’s opinion, as well as raising many more questions as to why nothing has been done about him since then– especially when people who didn’t even enter Capitol Building are already facing jailtime.
