Former President Donald Trump has made a decision regarding attending the first Republican presidential primary debate on August 23.
In an interview with Newsmax, he said that he will make an announcement “next week”.
He mentioned that he would not be signing a loyalty pledge due to certain candidates who are running for president.

In the same interview, Trump noted his comfortable lead in the polls and this could be why he may skip the debate altogether.
He stated, “When you’re at 75, 78, 80 percent, and other guys are 0, 1 percent, 2 percent, 3 percent…What’s the upside? Am I gonna go up one point?”
He also acknowledged that some of these candidates were intelligent people such as Senators or Governors.
When asked to specify who these candidates were which he didn’t endorse for president, Trump declined to disclose any names.
He said “There’s no reason to insult them,” which only added more mystery to his words.
It seems like we will have to wait until next week when Trump makes his official announcement regarding attending the first Republican presidential primary debate on August 23rd.
