A new poll from Kaplan Strategies has just been released.
The moment it hit the wire, it literally turned this race upside down.
Trump is probably sitting there with a huge smile on his face.
Bad News for Run
Before I get into the results of the poll, I just wanted to say the results are not as shocking as they first appeared.
Ramaswamy has somehow become the darling of the MAGA movement.
During the Turning Point conference last week, Ramaswamy was the top vote getter in the first alternative to Trump.
It was a crushing blow for DeSantis, and this poll offered more of the same.
While Trump is still dominating the field with 48 percent, DeSantis now has company.
He and Ramaswamy were tied for second with 12 percent, which is a huge fall for DeSantis and a massive upswing for Ramaswamy.
Do I think Ramaswamy can win this race? Absolutely not, even if Trump falters somehow.
Having said that, there are clearly people that are buying into his schtick, so the DeSantis camp is going to have to figure this out and find a way to take Ramaswamy out of the picture.
