Special Counsel John Durham wasn’t going to sit there and let Jerrold Nadler accuse him of making mistakes. He fiercely defended his team and told the committee’s ranking Democrat where he could stick his accusations. The witness had a whole lot of serious Constitutional ground to cover when he testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. He had so much to say that it all needs to be broken down into a whole bunch of smaller chunks. Everyone is going to be covering it for days. We might as well start with his opening statement. It certainly set the tone for the rest of his testimony.
Durham has answers for Nadler
When Special Counsel John Durham was interrogated by Congress on Wednesday, June 21, about the highly damaging report he released recently, New York Democrat Jerrold Nadler went straight for Durham’s throat.
The ranking minority member on the House Judiciary Committee started it with a snide remark in his opening statement, accusing the special prosecutor and his team of “glaring investigative missteps.”
The 306 page report Durham just turned in wrapped up a “four-year probe of the FBI investigation into alleged collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.”
Wow!!This opening statement by John Durham is mind blowing! EVERY American should be concerned about our corrupt justice system and the Democratic Party, which supports that corruption..FBI/DOJ are a modern day Gestapo..They must be stopped! pic.twitter.com/7VMSJyDy4Q #Durham #Trump

It’s biggest conclusion was that half the FBI and Justice Department big-shots should be in prison but won’t charge and prosecute themselves.
During his opening statement, Durham also “singled out” Nadler, responding back that he and his crew of investigators “carried out our work in good faith, with integrity and in the spirit of following the facts wherever they lead without fear or favor.”
Nadler had accused him of kowtowing to MAGA Republicans and covering up Trump’s Russia collusion.
Nadler part of the problem
Durham made it crystal clear that “the findings set forth in this report are serious and deserve attention from the American public and its representatives.”
In other words, this really is a big deal. Nadler might not like what it says but that’s only because he’s personally a huge part of the problem.
“For one, we found troubling violations of law and policy in the conduct of highly consequential investigations, directed at members of the presidential campaign, and ultimately a presidential administration.” In other words, the whole Trump Russia collusion thing which started out as an unsuccessful attempt to rig the 2016 election then morphed into an unsuccessful coup attempt, before it became a successful attempt to rig the 2020 election.
To John Durham, it doesn’t matter “whether it was a Republican campaign or a Democrat campaign. It was a presidential campaign.” It was rigged and the FBI lied to the FISA court and forged evidence as part of their plot.
Nadler was just upset because John Durham actually found disturbing abuses at the FBI and DOJ. Nadler helped them frame Trump every step of the way. The only thing Trump is guilty of is obstructing their attempt to frame him for colluding with Russia.
Meanwhile, it was Hillary Clinton, the FBI, the DOJ, Nadler and all his progressive cronies who were illegally colluding with Russia. They’ve been caught. What happens next is something we’re all dying to learn. Opening statements were just the beginning of some hearing fireworks as one bombshell after another got dropped during questioning, stay tuned for more of the gruesome Durham testimony details.
