2018 was a rough year for Hunter Biden but his family made sure he knew they had his back. Uncle Jim even offered him a “safe harbor” from his legal storms. He also apparently offered to shoulder Hunter’s “half to the big guy” until the crackhead playboy got his feet back on the ground for a while.
Biden family sticks together
There is one positive thing even conservatives can agree on when it comes to the Biden family, they’re loyal to the clan. They also seem to be running some vast family business and nobody knows what sort of olive oil they’ve been selling.
The only thing anyone can see, that the Bidens have to exchange, is access to Joe and the favors he can do.
As Jonathan Turley reports, “In 2018, Hunter Biden’s world was collapsing.” He seems to have kicked the crack and booze since then but his legal troubles are still following him around like a shadow.

Back then, the New York Times had just exposed Hunter’s “shady deals with the Chinese.” That’s when Joe got pulled into the story. “It appears that Hunter was in a free fall.” Uncle Jim Biden was sure to let his wayward nephew know he could depend on him for a “safe harbor.”
It’s all there in authenticated emails which have been accessible to the public for quite a while. They’ve been sitting around collecting dust because nobody had any context for them. Now, we do. This particular exchange “is an insight into a train wreck of a life of the scion of one of the most powerful families in the country.”
More importantly, it gives the public a peek into “a world of influence peddling where millions simply evaporated in the coffers of the Biden family.” The House Oversight Committee thinks they know where $5 million of it went to. If Christopher Wray doesn’t come up with the related evidence he’s been asked to provide by close of business May 30, he’s getting hit with contempt of Congress charges.
Contradict public statements
This is one more piece of solid evidence which on their very face “seem to contradict public statements from President Biden on the foreign-influence peddling that used to fund Hunter’s drug-infused, self-destructive lifestyle.”
When the Times story broke, the entire family went into panic mode. Jim has already been linked to a deal involving the Saudis and they all knew that the surface had barely been scratched on the dirt Hunter’s laptop has on all of them.
There were “deals all over the world with foreign figures worth millions and some of these figures had close ties to foreign intelligence or regimes.” Including, in Hunter’s own words, “the effing spy chief of China.”

Thanks to work of conservative Republicans in the House, we now know “the Bidens constructed a labyrinth of corporations and accounts to transfer millions from these deals to a variety of Biden family members, including grandchildren.” As one pundit put it, everyone in the family got a cut “except the pets.”
For instance, there’s an audio recording on the laptop with Joe and Hunter discussing the December 12, 2018 Times report and how it revealed “Hunter’s dealings with Ye Jianming, the head of CEFC China Energy Company.” When Yi got arrested, Hunter Biden became his lawyer for a quick $1 million retainer. The family had their minions working behind the scenes pushing “the Times to change aspects of the story” but weren’t relying on that.
By the end of the message, Joe tells Hunter, “I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance, give me a call, I love you.” That’s about when Jim assured his nephew, “that they can find him ‘a safe harbor‘ and that ‘I can work with you[r] father alone!’” As New York Post points out, “the messages may refer to the fact that Hunter’s past complaint that he was giving as much as half of his proceeds to his father and was now facing towering financial demands.“
