Donald Trump attacking Ron DeSantis is nothing new.
However, the attacks that he is now using have quite a few people scratching their heads.
Trump is now echoing several of the left’s talking points against DeSantis, which is leaving some of Trump’s supports baffled as to why his attacks are moving left of center.
Really?
The latest Emerson College Poll has Trump crushing DeSantis, ahead 62-16 in very crowded field.
Behind DeSantis is Pence at seven percent and Nikki Haley at three percent.
The rest of the field comes in at three percent or less, with newcomer Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) not even at one percent.

Republican strategist Colin Reed commented on Trump’s new strategy.
He stated, “These types of political attacks are bizarre and what voters expect from Democrat antagonists rather than fellow Republicans.
“Trump released the ‘The Real Ron DeSantis Playbook,’ which included several attacks on DeSantis, citing progressive sources such as the National Low Income Housing Coalition, Florida Policy Institute and MSNBC Host Joy Reid.”
I would expect DeSantis to try to use this against Trump once he formally announces.
As we have seen in the past, there is no better attack against a GOP candidate than to make the case they are a RINO.
I can totally see DeSantis or a PAC that is backing his campaign putting up the Trump quotes next to Democrats or liberals making the same attack to try to take him down this way.
As I have stated several times already, this race is going to be an absolutely bloodbath once DeSantis formally announces.
