Donald Trump can still pull in the crowds Joe Biden can only dream about. Trump’s detractors are still desperate to pull attention away from him and to artificially suppress his numbers. His niece doesn’t care for him and so her attempt to keep his numbers down blew up spectacularly in her face. The daughter of Donald Trump’s deceased brother Fred tried to close the area by fraudulently reserving space.
Nice attempt
Mary Trump took to Twitter to announce what she’d done, “If we book the 50,000+ venue, we can make sure most of the seats are empty when the traitor takes the stage.” It didn’t work. People showed up anyway.
Mary Trump pulled that 50,000 figure out of somewhere because it didn’t match up to what organizers expected, attendance closer to 15,000. That Saturday in Waco a police officer spoke to the local news, Waco Tribune-Herald, and said the 15,000 sounded about right.

The attempt backfired
Parking lots were open at 8, the airport opened at noon but Trump supporters started to gather sooner than that. The Tribune-Herald reported,
“Age and ethnic diversity were on display at the rally. A makeshift parking site manifested itself well away from the staging area at Waco Regional Airport. Hundreds of vehicles broke ranks with the bumper-to-bumper traffic leading directly to the venue, where designated parking areas had been marked off, and created an ad hoc parking lot of their own near China Spring Road and Uncle Worm’s Texas Cuisine restaurant.”
Trump supporters are resourceful and respectful. The Biden campaign organized rallies in 2020 but weren’t well attended. Yet he still somehow earned 80 million Americans’ votes.

The attempt was misplaced
You can put energy into something but not everything is worth making that effort. The crowd wasn’t a problem at all.
That local paper reported,
“The crowd grew throughout the afternoon, some attendees hoofing it from that ad hoc parking lot to Waco Regional Airport. Upon arrival, guests would join lines that moved slowly, shuffling attendees from one stage of entry to another. A Waco police officer, who said he could not identify himself because he was not an authorized spokesperson, said the event was ‘very orderly: no protesters, no arguments, no fights.’”
The Biden campaign, Democrats and establishment media have called Trump supporters “domestic terrorists”. That doesn’t sound like the behavior of terrorists at all.
