A mass of around 1,000 migrants, mostly Venezuelan, tried unsuccessfully to storm a border crossing bridge on Sunday. It snarled things for everyone because the whole northbound side of the Paso Del Norte bridge had to be shut down.
Border invasion attempt thwarted
The Paso Del Norte bridge across the border between Mexico and El Paso, Texas, was stormed by “a group of at least 1,000 migrants,” Fox News reports. On Sunday, March 12, standard crowd control measures were effective to repel the contingent of “mainly Venezuelan migrants” as they continued trying to push through in force.
They heard about the judge’s ruling in Florida. The one which says the whole Biden immigration scheme is illegal. They weren’t having any luck with the CBPOne app anyway, so decided to try other methods.
Videos show “migrants of all ages pressing toward the fenced border, with some putting their hands in the air to encourage others to continue moving forward.” Fortunately, it didn’t work.

Another surveillance camera caught “the moment the migrants pushed onto the bridge and began running for freedom.” It was amusingly photo-bombed by the welcoming sign above the gate reading “Feliz Viaje,” or, happy travels.
A third surveillance video shows invading migrants “gathering on a smaller bridge, while others were observed lining up along the riverbank.” Everyone knows that jumping over without an appointment isn’t allowed even under Biden’s illegal but official catch and release plan.
“Customs and Border Protection increased manpower in the area on the U.S. side, while the Mexican military attempted to contain the incident on the southern side of the bridge.”

Intense build up
Cameras along the bridge streamed “an intense build up at the border, with several CBP agents lined up behind a barricade and razor wire.” In the last funding year alone, CBP processed more than 2.3 million hopeful new citizens and this year is “on pace to top those record numbers.”

Meanwhile, they gutted “Trump-era policies like the Remain-in-Mexico policy,” ended construction on a border security wall and narrowed “interior ICE enforcement.” They turned the national boundary into a “meaningless line in the sand.”
At the same time, Joe Biden blames all the border insecurity on Congress for not already granting amnesty to all. That’s coming next. It’s the only solution which doesn’t require anyone to actually do anything. Preventing amnesty, on the other hand, will be an uphill battle.
Most conservatives are betting that we’ll have around 12 million new registered Democrats by the time November, 2024 rolls around. When liberals use the phrase “pathway to citizenship,” it’s code for “amnesty,” which “Democrats have indicated is a must.”
