With all the buzz in the media about Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, Donald Trump is looking to get himself off the hook.
Trump offered up an explanation as to why he took the classified documents to Mar-a-Lago.
Trump posted his reasoning on Truth Social, hoping it would gain him some momentum for his struggling campaign.
Joe Did It!
Trump is still leading Ron DeSantis in polls, but only by about 10-15 points, depending on the poll.
DeSantis has been closing the gap and he has not even announced that he is running yet.
Trump just announced a rally in South Carolina, and he also took his shots at Biden over the classified documents.
He posted, “Remember, these were just ordinary, inexpensive folders with various words printed on them, but they were a ‘cool’ keepsake.
“Perhaps the Gestapo took some of these empty folders when they Raided Mar-a-Lago, & counted them as a document, which they are not.
“It’s also possible that the Trump Hating Marxist Thugs in charge will ‘plant’ documents while they’re in possession of the material.
“As President, and based on the Presidential Records Act & Socks Case, I did NOTHING WRONG.
“JOE DID!”
I am not sure how much that will help Trump, but there is no denying that Biden’s gaffe will ultimately help Trump.
