No leadership indeed. Nobody with any kind of power is able or wants to go up against Pelosi. She can force anybody out. The Democrat lawmaker Joe Manchin is acting more like a conservative than some GOP. The Biden administration wants to punish Americans for not voting Democrat in the 2020 election by making everything unaffordable. Manchin is one of the few people standing in the way.
The GOP wants to keep spending under control
Rather than the free for all being pushed. We all have budgets. The more you spend outside of them, the worse you are, regardless if you’re an individual, corporation or a government.
Home Depot co founder Ken Langone is a Republican and billionaire and wants to help Manchin try to hold the line. He’s putting his money where his mouth is. He spoke with CNBC’s Squawk Box Wednesday to say he’ll hold a fundraiser for Manchin.
By all accounts, the threat posed by record inflation to the American people is not “transitory” and is instead getting worse. From the grocery store to the gas pump, Americans know the inflation tax is real and DC can no longer ignore the economic pain Americans feel every day.

The GOP can have friends in strange places
You can register as a particular party for one reason but if you see that party going in a different direction, you vote accordingly. Manchin has been saying no to the Biden administration on that spending plan, “I for one won’t support a multitrillion-dollar bill without greater clarity about why Congress chooses to ignore the serious effects of inflation.”
Langone said, “You know my politics but…I don’t see leadership anyplace in this country. Thank God for Joe Manchin. The guy’s got guts and courage. He’s a Democrat, I’m a Republican; I’m going to have one of the biggest fundraisers I’ve ever had for him. He’s special. He’s precious. He’s a great American.” Manchin can be re elected in 2024. Langone has never supported him before, but he is now.

The GOP can control things
If they think they have the power. The Democrats have a lot of power right now. It’s going to get worse. Langone continued, “Let me give you a warning — this inflation is a lot worse than people think. It is not transitory. The little people … they’re going to suffer.”
According to CBS News, we’ve had our biggest monthly increase in 30 years. Inflation is at 6.2% in 12 months. Fuel oil prices are up almost 60%, gasoline is about 50%. If the GOP thought they could rein this in, they would.
