Gee, somebody finally noticed the lyrics of a song were degrading to women? There’s a lot of that out there folks, you’ve got some catching up to do. Eminem, otherwise known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born in 1972. Since Hollywood is fickle, geared toward youth and liberal, it takes one person noticing something’s not right before the cancel culture starts.
Cancel culture normally affects conservatives
Since Democrats and liberals despise those that think differently. But Eminem is one of theirs. He hates Trump. Is it time for Eminem to either retire or lay low and hope it passes like so many Democrats do?
Somebody on Twitter noticed his less than complimentary lyrics toward women, “Eminem is such a bad influence on everyone, how does anyone listen to that old man ranting??? it is unexplainable to me, he needs to be cancelled for all the bad bad things he said.”
They're also about 20 years too late to the #canceleminem trend lmao. pic.twitter.com/pog1hl1133

The cancel culture can apply for many reasons
One of which is talking about violence towards women. You better hope nobody notices if you were young and stupid and broadcast that. Years ago he wrote a song called “Love the way you lie” with lyrics that included:
“If she ever tries to f**king leave again
I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.”
The cancel culture may have their work cut out for them
There’s several reasons for this. Songs are often written based on what an artist is going through at the time. Rihanna sang with him on “Love the way you lie”. Both Rihanna and Eminem were going through abusive relationships at the time.
Eminem also has an image to defend and he’s among the more influential rappers in the industry. He’s not likely to need to make an offering to the mob. In fact, he retorted in a song called “Tone Deaf”.
The cancel culture is new
Stupidity can be shown in more than one way. Enimen is a part of history. There’s a lot of history that isn’t being taught, that can include the music industry or Hollywood.
Those that are defending Eminem are older, they’ve grown up with him. One person noted, “You’re a little late to the party”. Another pointed out that he’s history but in a different way, “Why are you going after him? He’s not relevant anymore”.
